Half-Slanted View of Life

from The Water Aisle by Crappy Blue

about

"it's cool to be a little weird all the time. really lands you in some interesting places."

Half-Slanted is a really important work for me. i started writing it in 2016 following the release of Hitting the Town, and the next year i arranged it for live performance with a friend of mine in university. we played it on two percussion instruments, xylophone and vibraphone, with an altered version of the original song playing with us as a backing track. i later arranged and wrote two more pieces to go with Half-Slanted as a trio of 15/8 percussion duets with track, all of which i played with another friend in 2019.

this arrangement differs from the version i posted to youtube and soundcloud in 2016, incorporating harmonies and new parts from the performance version of the track.

(this track uses the base 2A03 chip sound and two FDS sound channels)
