"space as you know it is shifting and phasing around you... it's almost elegant in its lack of form."

i wrote Instated Flux in late 2016 as challenge to write a piece with no "drum set", so to speak. no bass drum, no snare, no hi-hat, no cymbals. what resulted was a piece that is still undeniably percussive, but done through melodic instrumentation with a strong "attack" instead of unpitched percussion instruments.

of course, i say "instruments" loosely here, since i'm working with waveforms.

(this track uses the VRC6 expansion chip sound)
