Let's Break

from The Water Aisle by Crappy Blue

/

about

"this is starting to look like a scene. let's get outta here before things get too wild."

much like Headfirst, Let's Break started as a cool chord sound, utilizing both a subtle progression that i liked and a rhythmic setup i found engaging. the rest of it went through some iterations, most notably the melody, which i scrapped entirely at one point and rewrote to be more rhythmically interesting. while this piece shows some contrast between uptempo elements and longer chords/notes, it didn't work for the melody to fall in the latter camp.

(this track uses the FDS sound channel and MMC5 expansion chip sound)
