Rest, and Dreams

from The Water Aisle by Crappy Blue

/

about

"you've been through a lot. lay your head, breathe soundly, and let yourself seep into the realm of dreams."

unlike many of my other works, Rest began as a simple melody, outlining and implying chords and modulating repeatedly. and it was going to stay that way! just a short tune to close out the album. but i'm bad at leaving things alone like that when they could be a little more... so, i added other voices onto the piece, which became the Dreams portion of the song. the rest (haha) flowed from there.

that's it for me. this album's been 4 years in the making, and i'm pretty exhausted, so it's nap time. thanks for checking out The Water Aisle.
